The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted on September 27, 2022, that Russian troops had recently changed the weapons they use to attack Ukraine’s port city of Odesa. They are now using Shahed-136 kamikaze drones provided by Iran. And the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to destroy them.

Anti-aircraft missile units of the Operational Command “South” are effectively performing their work. During the past day, it was possible to eliminate four Shahed-136 drones at once.
One of these devices, which Russians use for attacks, was destroyed around 02:00 a.m. Also, three more UAVs flew to Odesa closer to 10:00 p.m. But they were also “grounded”.
“Experience, and most importantly – results, our people gain in battle!” – the General Staff emphasizes.
Serhii Bratchuk, the spokesman of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, commented on the evening drone attacks. He noted that after the attack around 10:00 p.m., the night passed without shelling. At the same time, he noted that the risk of further drone attacks remains.
