“As of February 24, 1,670,000 people permanently lived in the government-controlled territory of Donetsk region. About 340,000 people have stayed there.”

However, he noted, this is quite a large number, and these people also need to be accommodated throughout the territory of Ukraine in relatively safe areas.

“We work to further make the evacuation more effective,” said the administration’s head.

He added that the route, equipment and everything necessary for evacuation had already been arranged, but there should be no problems with the final destinations of temporary stay of the evacuated Donetsk region residents.

It is noted that Russian troops do not stop shelling Donetsk region, killing and injuring citizens, and destroying the civilian infrastructure of the region.
