40% of the youth suffered as a result of Russia’s war in Ukraine

The Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine noted on December 26, 2022, that 40% of the youth in Ukraine suffered due to the full-scale invasion of Russia on the territory of Ukraine.

“The Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports noted that 40% of youth in Ukraine were affected as a result of the Russian full-scale invasion. More than 2 million young people have become internally displaced and another 2 million have left the country. The damages caused to the objects of youth infrastructure amount to more than 3.4 million dollars. From February 2022 to today, Russian troops captured, destroyed or damaged 98 objects of youth infrastructure,” explained the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.

Maryna Popatenko also emphasized that the temporary occupation of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol has been going on for 9 years as a result of the Russian armed invasion. Since 2014, thousands of Crimean Tatars have been forced to leave the territory of the Crimean peninsula due to unbearable living conditions and persecution.
