November 5 – The government will not subsidize the areas controlled by terrorists. According to Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk, total state subsidy expected by Donetsk oblast is 37 billion UAH and by Luhansk oblast – 19,8 billion UAH. Subsidizing areas controlled by terrorists, means that the people will not receive the money they are entitled to, because it will be stolen by Russian terrorists. “This will mean direct support for Russian terrorism” – he said. However Kyiv will supply energy to the areas temporarily controlled by terrorists – Ukrainian government will not abandon the residents without gas and electricity.
November 5 – Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk believes that negotiations regarding the situation in the east of Ukraine with Russia in bilateral format have no prospects. “As for negotiations, then again I emphasize that it is hopeless to hold bilateral negotiations of Ukraine and Russia. One of the most effective and real formats is Geneva format, which provided for the participation of the United States, European Union, Ukraine and our northern geographic neighbor” – said Yatsenyuk.
November 5 – Ukrainian intelligence confirms that Russian troops are currently located in Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts as well as on the border, – said Deputy Minister of Defense, Petro Mekhed.
November 5 – Ukraine Security Forces discovered a terrorist group which was planning a series of attacks in Lviv. According to the announcement, members of the criminal group, who call themselves “Kuznetsov Detachment” included five Ukrainian citizens, who were recruited by the RF Special Services. The members of the detachment underwent subversive training in the camp for mercenaries on the territory of the Russian Federation. According to a foreign Special Services, the terrorist group was planning explosions on Lviv territory, in particular, on objects of critical infra-structure and the defensive – business complex. The group had the assignment of destabilizing the situation, to scare the residents, and to provoke panic in the region. Their actions were coordinated by the representatives of the Chief Intelligence Management Services of the General Headquarters of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
November 5 – The price of a barrel of Northern Black Sea petroleum Brent has for the first time decreased to less than 82 dollars per barrel.
November 5 – Ukraine is prepared to buy, for its own use, coal solely from state companies which work in the eastern regions of Ukraine, but not to finance these purchases by cooperating with Russian terrorists, who are in control of the region – Ukraine Minister of Energy and Coal Industry, Yuriy Prodan. In the Donetsk region in October 2014, the coal mining industry decreased by 64.4% as compared with last year.
