December 5 – Russia has relocated 3 convoys of military equipment consisting of trucks, armored vehicles and fuel trucks, – informed NSDC spokesman Andriy Lysenko. On Thursday at 8 am a convoy consisting of 150 trucks has arrived in Ukraine from Russia (via the village Dubrovka travelling towards Dmytrivka). At 12:10 another convoy of 10 fuel trucks and 6 armored vehicles moved in. On Friday night a convoy consisting of 40 trucks, 33 of which are fuel tanks have travelled through the town of Izvaryne towards Lugansk, – said Lysenko.

December 5 – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov believes that it is premature to discuss the expansion of Ukraine-Russia border monitoring before security guarantees are provided by “elected representatives of the self-proclaimed republics”. Ukraine has no control over approximately 400 km of border with Russia. Previously, Ukrainian authorities as well as the representatives of OSCE and other international organizations have repeatedly stated that Russia is transporting militants and weapons to Ukraine through the uncontrolled border areas.
