Ukraine has announced its readiness to hold elections in Donbas this summer – Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine

The Ukrainian authorities are ready to develop the law on elections in Donbas and to hold them. This was stated by Ukrainian Deputy foreign Minister Vadym Prystayko in the video interview to VOANews.

«We are ready to develop this law to coordinate it and, according to this law, elections to immediately start to obtain desirable this summer already legitimate representatives of Luhansk and Donetsk, in order to negotiate with them», — said Vadym Prystayko.

According to Prystayko, the only way for Kyiv to negotiate with Donbas, is «to have legal representatives in the region”.
After the elections in Ukrainian politics will be people that official Kyiv called terrorists and separatists.

“We will have to seek consensus and to interact with them in parliament and in government, and local institutions” – said the Deputy foreign Minister.
