War, not the expected peace arrived at the doorstep of Great Britain and France when they gave up Czechoslovakia to Hitler in 1938. War is happening right here at home and not in faraway Europe – the United States were harshly reminded about this at Pearl Harbor in 1942. War descended on Ukraine and thus is now much closer to Paris and Berlin, because Europe and the US haven’t supported Georgia in 2008. War showed up in the homes of Dutch, British, French, German, Australian families because Europe and the US weren’t courageous enough to lend a helping hand to Ukraine in 2014. It is impossible to run away from war and overwhelming aggression, it is impossible to buy yourself off. The war will catch up with you if you don’t stand up to it with utmost determination.

September 1 – 4 battalion task forces of Russian Army currently operate in Ukraine – near Novosvitlivka-Novohannivka-Krasne, Starobesheve-Novokaterynivka, Kumacheve-Pobeda, and Shcherbak-Markine, – informed the spokesman for the National Security and Defense Council Andriy Lysenko.
September 1 – The last stage of the conflict escalation between Russia and Ukraine is an open military conflict – it hasn’t come to it yet and everything possible should be done to prevent it, – said German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
September 1 – Russia has asked the insurgents for consent to send some Ukrainian prisoners of war to the territory of Russian Federation in order to fabricate criminal cases against them. Such proposal has been voiced during the intercepted telephone conversations of the “prime-minister of People’s Republic of Donetsk” Oleksandr Zakharchenko with the head of “Novorossiya Coordination Support Center” (Moscow) Oleksiy Markov. 680 Ukrainian military have been imprisoned by the Russians.
September 1 – Russia rejects consultations by the signatories of the Budapest Memorandum, which guarantees territorial integrity of Ukraine, – said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin. In 1994 Ukraine has signed the Budapest Memorandum, under which Russia, the USA and the UK have agreed to guarantee Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in exchange for a renunciation of nuclear weapons.
September 1 – Ukraine’s Defense Minister Valeriy Geletey believes that Russia has lost the hybrid war against Ukraine and started a full-scale invasion of Ukraine – “Today we are dealing with divisions and regiments. Tomorrow we may have to deal with army corps”.
