November 9 – 1695 people have gone missing in Donbas, the number of imprisoned is unknown, – said the Сhief of Main Investigation Department of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Vovk. Up to 500 Ukrainian prisoners remain with the terrorists of “Donetsk People’s Republic” and “Luhansk People’s Republic”, – said the representative of NGO “Ofitserskyi Korpus” [Officer Corps] Volodymyr Ruban live on “Hromadskoe on Russian”.

November 9 – Russian reconnaissance and sabotage groups installed trip wires near the checkpoint Krasna Talivka (Stanychno-Luhansk rayon) on the border with the Russian Federation. Two Ukrainian border guards were killed there.

November 9 – Powerful shots and explosions were heard in all the Donetsk city districts during the night of November 9th; shelling of Kuibyshev and Kyiv districts started at 12 pm of November 8th and ended at 10:30 am on November 9th. According to journalists, Reuters is reporting that intense shelling of Donetsk with heavy artillery was carried out at night and in the morning. “Apparently, the city was shelled from the areas controlled by the separatists and from the positions of Ukrainian troops. The sounds of shelling were heard in downtown Donetsk”, – stated the agency, writes Russian TV station “Dozhd”.

November 9 – Three Ukrainian soldiers were killed and thirteen wounded in the last 24 hours in the ATO area, – said NSDC spokesman IAC Andriy Lysenko. According to NSDC, the militants are carrying out attacks on ATO positions from several directions: from Donetsk, Debaltsevo, Pervomaysk, Mariupol.

November 9 – The column of military equipment recorded by OSCE observers near Donetsk, does not belong to the Russian army but to Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), and its relocation is due to rotation of military forces, – said DPR’s militia deputy commander Eduard Basurin. As stated earlier, OSCE observers have reported that they saw a column consisting of over 40 trucks near Makiyivka, some of them carrying heavy weapons, such as 122-mm howitzer.

November 9 – From the Russian side in the nearest time, there is the possibility of massive provocations in order to create the preconditions for bringiuing in troops into the eastern reguions of Ukraine under the pretext of “peace keeping forces” stated the Spokesman for IAC RNBO, Andriy Lysenko. As is known, earlier foreign sources informed about new columns of soldiers and military equipment “of unknown origin” – the machines had no identiifcation marks. Also it was recorded that the Ukrainian border was crossed by reinforcements from RF on November 6. Then the separatist units received from Russia supporting soldiers and equipment, including – 32 tanks and self-propelled artillery units. NATO ascertained an increase of the number of Russian troops on the border with Ukraine.

November 9 – President Petro Poroshenko awarded the Gold Star of Hero of Ukraine to Lieutenant Ihor Hordiychuk who together with his reconnaissance detachment in the summer took Savur-Mohyla and during 12 days in August maintained controll over it.
