By annexing Crimea, Russia has carried out an act of aggression against Ukraine. Currently Russia is transferring terrorist and sabotage groups to Eastern Ukraine. Russia aims to prevent legitimate presidential elections from happening. Everyday life in Eastern Ukraine has turned into a continuous nightmare in the middle of Europe. Our country is being destroyed right before our eyes. We therefore take the courage to inform you about current events in Ukraine. This is just another point of view. We will do our best to remain objective.
June 16 – Russia stopped gas supply to Ukraine, informed Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Yuriy Prodan. The amount of gas produced in Ukraine is enough to cover everyday needs of Ukraine’s population. Whereas the companies, which have long ago been privatized by oligarchs, must buy gas on the world market – until now gas purchases for oligarchs were somehow Ukraine’s problem, the state bought the gas for them. Former Ukrainian top officials including the Presidents made quite a lot of money managing such shady transactions. Same goes for the Presidents of Russia. Today this corrupt circle might have been broken.
June 16 – Ukraine will ensure uninterrupted gas transit to the EU.
June 16 – Without Ukraine, Russian gas monopoly “Gazprom” will not be able to fully meet its obligations to European consumers, stated CEO of OJSC “Gazprom” Alexey Miller. It might just be that the Russians are finally starting to understand something here.
June 16 – On Tuesday evening, Ukrainian delegation will depart to Europe for talks regarding gas supply by European companies, informed the Chairman of the Board of “Naftogaz Ukraine” Andriy Kobolyev.
June 16 – The crisis is escalating in Donetsk: Regional Treasury and the regional branch of the National Bank have been seized by Russian terrorists. As a result, businesses and residents will be left without any payments, stated the Head of Donetsk Regional State Administration Serhiy Taruta.
June 16 – “Naftogaz” (Ukraine) has brought a law suit before the Stockholm Arbitration Court concerning inadequate and politically motivated gas prices demanded by the Russian gas monopoly “Gazprom” (Russia). “We will not subsidize Russian “Gazprom”. Ukrainians will not pay 5 billion USD per year and let Russia buy weapons, tanks, planes and bomb Ukrainian territory”, said Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
June 16 – 15-20 thousand terrorists are fighting within the occupied territory of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts; most of these people have been transported from Russia, informed Andriy Parubiy, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
June 16 – In Kyiv, Security Service of Ukraine has arrested one of the active members of the terrorist organization “People’s Republic of Donetsk” named “Sever”, who is also an accomplice of a terrorist called Igor Bezler (“Bes”). 100 thousand UAH in cash, a grenade RGD-5, ammunition for firearms and 300 grams of drugs were confiscated from him during arrest. Indeed, it is hard to fight for Russia and not use drugs.
