December 1 – In the last 24 hours, 3 Ukrainian military were killed and 14 injured in the ATO area, – informed NSDC spokesman Andriy Lysenko.

December 1 – In Russia for the first time ever, the exchange rate for one US dollar rose above 53 rubles. Dollar and euro continue to reach historic highs at 53 and 66 rubles respectively.

December 1 – The trucks of the eighth Russian “humanitarian aid convoy”, which arrived in Donbas on November 30th, transported weapons (shells). On December 1st, NSDC spokesman Andriy Lysenko has said that the intensity of the attacks in ATO area had increased, since the arrival of “humanitarian convoy” from Russia.

December 1 – Changes in personnel are evident within Kremlin’s unit responsible for Russian policy towards Ukraine. Officials working on cooperation with “People’s Republic of Donetsk” and “People’s Republic of Luhansk” have been dismissed. Does this mean a fiasco for Russian policy in Ukraine?

December 1 – Russian President Vladimir Putin is preparing his Federal Assembly message scheduled for December 4th – what territories will he choose to annex this time: Donbas or Estonia?

December 1 – Eka Zguladze may become First Deputy Interior Minister of Ukraine (Mrs.Zguladze was previously employed as Deputy Interior Minister of Georgia).

December 1 – As of December 1st, Ukraine’s High Council of Justice received 308 resignation applications from Ukrainian judges – they are afraid of proposed screening of public officials. Most applications (92) were received from the judges in Donetsk oblast, 41 from the judges in Luhansk oblast, and 29 from the judges in Crimea and Sevastopol (occupied territories).

December 1 – “South Stream” gas pipeline project has been curtailed and will not be renewed, – stated the Chairman of Gazprom Management Committee Alexey Miller.
