The Russian Federation’s attacks on the civilian infrastructure in Ukraine

Recently, the Russian Federation has launched yet another missile and air strike on Ukraine.

During the day, the Russian army launched 7x missile strikes, 2x of which targeted the city of Uman, and 43x air strikes, 79x MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. There are civilian casualties.

The possibility of Russian missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high.

Russia continues to focus its main efforts on Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mar’inka directionss, heavy fighting continues. During the day, 43x combat engagements took place in the above-mentioned areas of the frontline.

  • Volyn and Polissya direction: no significant changes.
  • Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions: the Russian army maintains its military presence in the areas of Russia bordering Ukraine. Russia reinforces its group engaged in border protection with units of territorial troops. During the day, Russian troops launched air strikes on the settlements of Myropillya, Sinne, and Severynivka (Sumy oblast). They fired mortars and artillery at the settlements of Seredyna-Buda, Atyns’ke, Bezsalivka, Myropillya, Hrabovs’ke, Velyka Pysarivka, Ponomarenky (Sumy oblast), Krasne, Morokhovets’, Luk’yantsi, Starytsya, Hatyshche, Vovchans’k, and Chuhunivka (Kharkiv oblast).
  • Kup’yans’k direction: Russian forces launched an air strike in the vicinity of Kyslivka. They fired artillery and mortars at Kam’yanka, Krasne Pershe, Novomlyns’k, Dvorichna, Kyslivka, Tabaivka, Berestove (Kharkiv oblast), and Novoselivs’ke (Luhansk oblast).
  • Lyman direction: during the previous day, Russians conducted unsuccessful offensives in the vicinity of Vesele (Donetsk oblast). Makiivka, Nevs’ke, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Verkhn’okam’yans’ke, Tors’ke, Spirne, and Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast) were shelled with artillery.
  • Bakhmut direction: Russian troops conducted offensive operations towards the settlements of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Ivanivske, Stupochky, Bila Hora, but without success. They launched air strikes in the vicinities of Bila Hora and Toretsk (Donetsk oblast). Vasyukivka, Min’kivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Stupochky, Oleksandro-Shul’tyne, Bila Hora, Druzhba, Toretsk and Pivnichne (Donetsk oblast) came under Russian artillery fire.
  • Avdiivka direction: Russia made unsuccessful attempts to advance near the settlements of Sjeverne and Opytne. Russian forces launched air strikes in the vicinity of Avdiivka. They fired artillery at the settlements of Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Tonen’ke, Pervomais’ke, and Karlivka (Donetsk oblast).
  • Mar’inka direction: Ukrainian soldiers repelled all Russian attacks in the vicinity of the city of Mar’inka. Russia suffered losses. At the same time, the Russian army fired artillery in the vicinities of Mar’inka, Pobjeda, and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast).
  • Shakhtars’ke direction: the Russian army launched an air strike in the vicinity of Velyka Novosilka, shelled the settlements of Vuhledar, Shakhtars’ke, Zolota Nyva, and Vremivka (Donetsk oblast).
  • Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions: the Russian army stays on the defensive. It launched air strikes in the vicinities of Novopil’ (Donetsk oblast), Hulyaipole (Zaporizhzhia oblast), Zmiivka, Beryslav, and Kozats’ke (Kherson oblast). Russian forces fired artillery at Burlats’ke, Zelene Pole, Novosilka, Novopil’, Temyrivka (Donetsk oblast), Ol’hivs’ke, Hulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Bilohir’ya, Kam’yans’ke (Zaporizhzhia oblast), Beryslav, Antonivka, Dniprovs’ke (Kherson oblast), and the city of Kherson.

In the temporarily illegally occupied by Russia Crimea (Simferopol, in particular), there is a certain trend in local media. They ignore the fact of the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station dam by the Russian army and the aftermath of this disaster. The local occupation Russian authorities are reported to be concerned about possible panic among the public.

An “Akhmat” Russian unit was spotted in the southwestern part of the temporarily occupied Donetsk. Russian soldiers are robbing civilians in the said area of the city, as well as filming staged combat engagement videos. On 6 June, an effective fire attack by the Ukrainian Defense Forces on the Russian troops’ concentration in a training camp resulted in Russian soldiers casualties of 56x killed. Their total losses are being finalized.

The Ukrainian troops’ strikes on Russian equipment

Ukrainian Air Force launched 19x air strikes on the concentrations of Russian troops and 2x air strikes on the Russian anti-aircraft missile systems.

Ukrainian soldiers intercepted 6x combat and 4x Russian reconnaissance UAVs of various types.

The Ukrainian missile and artillery troops hit 5x Russian command posts, 6x concentrations of troops, weapons, and military equipment, 2x anti-aircraft missile systems, 8x Russian artillery units at their firing positions, and 2x other important targets.
