Russian offensive actions and impact on civilians
The Russian Federation continues to wage an aggressive war. Despite significant losses, it refuses to abandon plans for the complete occupation of Ukrainian territory. The Russian army continues to kill the peaceful population of Ukraine and disregards the laws and customs of war, employing tactics of terror, striking military and civilian objects alike.
Within a day, the Russian army has carried out over 40 airstrikes and conducted 60 shelling attacks with multiple rocket launcher systems on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, there have been casualties and injuries among the civilian population, including children. Critical infrastructure objects have been damaged, and more than 20 residential buildings have been destroyed or damaged, along with a school and other civilian infrastructure.
The probability of missile and aerial strikes throughout the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.
The Russian army continues to concentrate its main efforts on the Luhansk, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka directions, where heavy fighting is ongoing. Within a day, there have been 17 combat clashes.
Intensified frontline clashes and epicenters of conflict

- The operational situation remains unchanged on the Volyn and Polissya directions. There are no signs of offensive formations being formed. Combat training and coordination activities of Russian Federation’s forces continue on the training grounds of the Republic of Belarus before their deployment to the areas of hostilities on the territory of Ukraine.
- Siversk and Slobozhansk directions: the Russian army maintains a military presence in border areas with Ukraine. Within a day, it conducted airstrikes on the settlements of Ohirtseve, Budarky, and Vesele in the Kharkiv region. Russian troops also carried out mortar and artillery shelling of the settlements of Karpovychi in the Chernihiv region, as well as Seredyna-Buda, Porokhonia, Rozhkovychi, Tovstodubove, Bachivsk, Bilopillia, Iskryskivshchyna, Hyrine, Popivka, Kyndrativka, Stepne, Pysarivka, Basivka, Loknia, Myropillia, and Stepok in the Sumy region, along with Velyka Pysarivka, Huriiv Kozachok, Veterynarne, Vovchansk, Budarky, Zemlianky, Bolohivka, Odnorobivka, Udy, Strilecha, Lukyantsi, Vovchanski Khutory in the Kharkiv region.
- Kupiansk direction: the Russian army carried out unsuccessful offensive actions towards Novoselivka in the Luhansk region. It conducted an airstrike on Kyslivka in the Kharkiv region. Russian artillery and mortar shelling affected Krasne Pershe, Fiholivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kupiansk, Kyslivka, and Berestove in the Kharkiv region.
- Lyman direction: Russian soldiers conducted offensive actions towards Spirne in the Luhansk region without success. They carried out airstrikes on the settlements of Bilohorivka and Myrne in the Luhansk region. Artillery shelling was experienced by Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, as well as Torse, Verkhniokamianske, Rozdolivka, and Spivne in the Donetsk region.
- Bakhmut direction: Russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards Orikhovo-Vasylivka. They carried out airstrikes on the settlements of Ivanivske, Pivnichne, Bila Hora, and Toretsk. The areas of Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Bohdanivka, Kalynivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Ozarianivka, Bila Hora, Kostiantynivka, and Pivnichne in the Donetsk region were affected by Russian artillery shelling.
- Avdiivka direction: the Russian army conducted an airstrike in the vicinity of the city of Avdiivka. It carried out artillery shelling in the areas of Keramik, Novokalynove, Stepove, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Karlivka, Berdychivka, Lastochkyne, Avdiivka, and Severne in the Donetsk region.
- Marinka direction: Ukrainian military repelled all Russian attacks in the area of the city of Marinka. The Russian army conducted an airstrike there as well. At the same time, it carried out artillery shelling in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Hostre, Heorhiivka, Marinka, Pobeda, Maksymilianivka, and Illinka in the Donetsk region.
- Shakhtarsk direction: Russian troops conducted offensive actions towards Novomykhailivka and Vuhledar in the Donetsk region without success. They conducted airstrikes in the areas of Zolota Nyva and Blahodatne in the Donetsk region. Russian soldiers also shelled the settlements of Novomykhailivka, Katerinivka, Blahodatne, Vuhledar, Bohoyavlenska, Novoukrainka, Prechystivka, Shakhtarske, and Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk region.
- Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions: the Russian army continues defensive operations. It conducted airstrikes in the areas of Makarivka in the Donetsk region, Levadne, Mala Tokmachka, and Novodanilivka in the Zaporizhzhia region, and Kozatske in the Kherson region. Russsian troops also carried out artillery shelling of the settlements of Vremivka and Makarivka in the Donetsk region, Zelene Pole, Novodarivka, Levadne, Malynivka, Zatyshshya, Hulyai Pole, Hulyaipilske, Orikhiv, Lobkove, and Kamianske in the Zaporizhzhia region, and Mykhailivka, Novodmytrivka, Havrylivka, Kachkarivka, Berislav, Tomarine, Vesele, Kozatske, Burhunka, Virivka, Ivanivka, Antonivka, Kherson, Dniprovskyi, Kizomys, Sofiyivka, Myroliubivka in the Kherson region, and Ochakiv in Mykolaiv region.
Engineering units of the Russian occupying forces are conducting mining of private land plots belonging to residents who refused to receive Russian passports in the populated settlement of Pokrovske in the Zaporizhzhia region, and left for the territory under Ukrainian control.
At the same time, agricultural land plots owned by local collaborators are not subjected to mining.
Ukrainian countermeasures
The aviation of the Ukrainian army conducted 7 strikes on Russian personnel concentration areas during the day and destroyed 1 Russian air defense missile system. Ukrainian military also destroyed Russian Ka-52 helicopter, 3 Iranian Shahed attack UAVs, and 5 reconnaissance UAVs.
Units of the missile forces and artillery hit 2 command centers, 4 air defense missile systems, 2 personnel and military equipment concentration areas of the Russian army, and 2 Russian ammunition depots during the day.
