Russian army’s attacks on civilian infrastructure
During the day, the Russian army conducted 37 air strikes and carried out 19 shelling attacks using reactive multiple launch systems. The probability of missile and aviation strikes throughout the territory of Ukraine remains high.
The Russian army continues to concentrate its main efforts on the directions of Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka, where heavy fighting is ongoing. There have been 22 military clashes during the day.
Operational situation on Ukrainian directions

- Volyn and Polissya directions: the operational situation remains unchanged. There are no signs of forming groupings of the Russian army. Combat training and coordination of units of the Russian Federation’s armed forces continue on the training grounds of the Republic of Belarus before their deployment to the areas of combat operations in Ukraine.
- Siversk and Slobozhansk directions: the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas with Ukraine. During the day, it conducted an airstrike on the populated area of Yanzhulivka in the Chernihiv region. Russian troops also carried out mortar and artillery shelling on the populated areas of Yanzhulivka, Kostobobriv, Hremyach in the Chernihiv region, Chuikivka, Bachivsk, Svarkove, Atynske, Starikove, Boyaro-Lezhachi, Stari Virky, Sosnivka, Iskristivschyna, Volfyne, Basivka, Myropillia, Stepok, Krasnopillia, Novodytrivka, Velyka Pysarivka, Ponomarenky in the Sumy region, as well as Huriv Kozachok, Udy, Chervona Zoria, Kozacha Lopan, Strylecha, Starycia, Ohirtseve, Pletenivka, Vovchanske Khu Tory, Pokalyane, Okhrimivka, Kruhle, Budarky, Zemlyanky, Loshakove, Potykhonove, and Komisarove in the Kharkiv region.
- Kupiansk direction: the Russian army carried out offensive actions towards Novoselivka in the Luhansk region and Berestove in the Kharkiv region but did not succeed. Russian artillery and mortar shelling affected Figolivka, Dvorichna, Zakhidne, Kamianka, Kyslivka in the Kharkiv region, and Novoselivske in the Luhansk region.
- Lyman direction: Russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region. Artillery shelling was experienced in Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Torske, Verkhniokamianske, Rozdolivka, Sperne, and Serebrianka in the Donetsk region.
- Bakhmut direction: the areas of the populated areas Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Khromove, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Ozaryanivka, Bila Hora, Kostiantynivka, and Pivdenne in the Donetsk region were affected by Russian artillery shelling.
- Avdiivka direction: the Russian army conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Stepove and Avdiivka. It carried out airstrikes in the areas of Sukha Balka and Avdiivka. Artillery shelling targeted the populated areas of Stepove, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, Avdiivka, Vesele, and Karlivka in the Donetsk region.
- Marinka direction: Ukrainian troops repelled all Russian attacks in the area of the city of Marinka. The Russian army conducted an airstrike near Krasnohorivka in the Donetsk region. At the same time, it carried out artillery shelling on the populated areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, Pobeda, Maksymilianivka, and Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region.
- Shakhtarsk direction: the Russian army conducted offensive actions towards Novomykhailivka and Vodyane in the Donetsk region but did not succeed. It carried out airstrikes in the areas of Zolota Nyva and Blahodatne. Russian troops also shelled the populated areas of Shakhtarske, Prechystivka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Storozhove, Novosilka, and Novopil in the Donetsk region.
- Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions: the Russian army continues to conduct defensive operations. It conducted an airstrike in the areas of Mala Tokmachka in the Zaporizhzhia region and Kozatske in the Kherson region. Russian troops carried out artillery shelling on the populated areas of Olhivske, Huliaypole, Zaliznychne, Huliaypilske, Novodarivka, Levadne, Malinivka, Chervone, Novoandriyivka, Stepove, Lobkove, Stepnohirsk, Kamianske in the Zaporizhzhia region, Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Mykhailivka, Novodmytrivka, Chervnoyi Mayak, Shliakhove, Berislav, Vesele, Kozatske, Mykolaivka, Burhunka, Olhivka, Tiahinka, Novotiahinka, Ponyativka, Sadove, Molodizhne, Antonivka, Kherson, Chornobaivka, Romashkove, Dniprovskoe, Berehove, Veletenske, Kizomys, Sofiivka in the Kherson region, and Ochakiv in the Mykolaiv region.
Russian troops continue to commit ecocide on Dzharylhach Island, where they have established a military training ground and carry out preparations for mobilized forces, including artillery fire exercises.
Ukrainian aviation and artillery response
During the day, the defense aviation of the Ukrainian troops conducted 9 strikes on the areas of Russian personnel concentration. Additionally, Ukrainian military successfully destroyed Russian anti-aircraft missile complex.
Units of the missile forces and artillery targeted and hit 2 command posts, 2 ammunition depots, and 1 artillery unit in firing positions during the day.
