The 463rd day of the Russia-Ukraine War: official operational information by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on 01.06.2023.

Russian army’s attacks on civilian infrastructure

The Russian Federation continues to disregard laws and customs of war, employing tactics of terror, launching strikes, and conducting shelling both on military and civilian targets.

During the day, the Russian army carried out 12 missile strikes using 10 ballistic and cruise missiles of the “Iskander” type on Kyiv (destroyed by Ukrainian troops), and 2 guided anti-aircraft missiles S-300 on Kharkiv. Additionally, Russian troops conducted 36 airstrikes and approximately 10 shelling attacks with multiple rocket launcher systems on Ukrainian troops’ positions and populated areas.

Unfortunately, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population, including children. A children’s polyclinic, residential apartment buildings, private houses, and other civilian infrastructure have been damaged.

The likelihood of missile and aerial strikes throughout the territory of Ukraine remains high.

The Russian army continues to concentrate its main efforts on attempts to fully occupy the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. During the day, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 19 Russian attacks.
