Russian troops’ attacks on the civilian infrastructure in Ukraine
The Russian Federation continues to kill the civilian population of Ukraine and continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, using tactics of terror.
During the past day, Russian troops carried out another missile and aerial strike on the territory of Ukraine, using guided missiles from the S-300 air defense system and Iranian strike drones Shahed. As a result of the defensive actions by the Ukrainian Defense Forces, 5 Shahed strike drones were destroyed.
Some of the strike drones hit industrial facilities and infrastructure objects in Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad regions.
Additionally, the Russian army carried out 34 airstrikes and conducted 42 artillery shelling from multiple rocket launch systems. In particular, as a result of the shelling by Russian forces, 8 civilians were killed and 13 were injured in Lyman.
The likelihood of missile and aerial strikes across the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

- The operational situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions remains unchanged. There are no significant signs of offensive formations being formed. Identified units of the Belarusian Armed Forces are carrying out tasks in border areas adjacent to Ukraine.
- In the Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, the Russian army maintains its military presence. During the past day, it conducted an aerial strike in the area of Vovkivka in the Sumy region. Russian troops also conducted mortar and artillery shelling on more than 25 populated areas, including Karpovychi in the Chernihiv region, Znob-Novhorodske and Bilopillia in the Sumy region, and Hatyshche, Vovchansk, and Varvarivka in the Kharkiv region.
- In the Kupiansk direction, the Russian army carried out an airstrike near Novoehorivka in the Luhansk region. It attempted to advance in the areas of Berestove, Novoselivka, and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region. Ukrainian soldiers are holding the defense firmly, repelling all Russian attacks. Russian artillery and mortar shelling affected Figolivka, Kupiansk, Kyslivka, and Kamyanka in the Kharkiv region.
- In the Lyman direction, the Russian army conducted assault operations and attempted to displace Ukrainian military from their positions in the area of Vesele in the Donetsk region, but without success. Russian troops carried out aerial strikes near Nevske in the Luhansk region and Spirne in the Donetsk region. Over 10 populated areas, including Nevske and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, as well as Verkhniokamyanske and Vesele in the Donetsk region, were subjected to artillery shelling.
- In the Bakhmut direction, the Russian army conducted aerial strikes in the areas of Druzhkivka and Bila Hora. Over 10 populated areas, including Bohdanivka, Khromove, Chasiv Yar, and Ivanivske in the Donetsk region, were affected by Russian artillery shelling.
- In the Avdiivka direction, Russian soldiers carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Novokalynove, Stepove, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske. They conducted an aerial strike in the area of Avdiivka. At the same time, the Russian army carried out artillery shelling on more than 15 populated areas, including Keramik, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, and Semenivka in the Donetsk region.
- In the Marinka direction, under Russian artillery fire, Ukrainian troops repelled all Russian attacks in the area of the city of Marinka. The Russian army conducted aerial strikes near Krasnohorivka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. It shelled the populated areas of Georgiivka, Yelyzavetivka, Krasnohorivka, Oleksandrivka, Marinka, and Katerynivka.
- In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian soldiers conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Blahodatne in the Donetsk region. They also carried out an aerial strike in that area. They shelled over 10 populated areas, including Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Zolota Nyva, and Shakhtarske in the Donetsk region.
- In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the Russian army concentrates its main efforts on preventing further advancement of Ukrainian troops. It conducted an aerial strike in the area of Kozatske in the Kherson region. Russian troops also carried out artillery shelling on more than 20 populated areas, including Novodarivka, Levadne, Malynivka, Huliaipole in the Zaporizhzhia region, Havyrilivka, Antonivka, Zolota Balka in the Kherson region, the city of Kherson, Ivanivka, and Ochakiv in the Mykolaiv region.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation on the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, consolidate their achieved positions, and conduct counter-battery measures.
The aviation of the defense forces conducted 7 strikes on Russian personnel concentration areas within the day.
Units of missile troops and artillery destroyed 11 artillery systems in firing positions, 1 ammunition depot, 3 air defense systems, and 2 Russian radio-electronic warfare stations within the day.
