Russian troops’ attacks on the civilian infrastructure in Ukraine

During the day, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with Iranian-produced Shahed drones. A total of 15 kamikaze drones were used in the attack. As a result of successful combat operations by the air defense missile units, mobile firing groups of the Air Force, and anti-aircraft defense components of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, 11 attack UAVs of the Russian aircraft were destroyed. Additionally, the Russian army carried out 59 aviation strikes and conducted 40 artillery shelling using rocket artillery systems on Ukrainian troops’ positions and civilian settlements. Unfortunately, there are civilian casualties, including children, and residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have been damaged.

The probability of missile and aviation strikes across the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

The Russian army continues to concentrate its main efforts on the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka directions, where heavy fighting is ongoing. During the day, 22 combat clashes took place.

  • The operational situation remains unchanged in the Volyn and Polissia directions.
  • The Russian army maintains military presence in the Siversk and Slobozhansk directions. During the day, it conducted artillery and mortar shelling on more than 10 populated areas, including Huta-Studenetska in Chernihiv Oblast; Vintorivka and Manukhivka in Sumy Oblast; and Vidrodzhenivske, Izbitske, and Zemlianky in Kharkiv Oblast.
  • In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian soldiers are holding the defense steadfastly. The Russian army carried out an aviation strike in the area of Kyslivka in Kharkiv Oblast. Figolivka, Novomylnsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kupiansk, and Kyslivka in Kharkiv Oblast were subjected to Russian artillery and mortar shelling.
  • In the Lyman direction, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the Novoselivske area of Luhansk Oblast. They launched aviation strikes in the areas of Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast and Spirne, Vesele, and Rozdolivka in Donetsk Oblast. More than 10 populated areas, including Nevske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast, and Torske, Spirne, Berestove, and Rozdolivka in Donetsk Oblast, were subjected to artillery shelling.
  • In the Bakhmut direction, the Russian army carried out aviation strikes in the areas of Stupochky, Oleksandro-Shultyne, and Diliivka in Donetsk Oblast. Over 15 populated areas were affected by Russian artillery shelling, including Lyman, Bohdanivka, Khromove, Ivanivske, and Toretsk in Donetsk Oblast.
  • In the Avdiivka direction, under heavy Russian fire from aviation and artillery, Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled attacks by Russian troops in the Avdiivka area. The Russian army conducted an aviation strike in the area of Panteliimonivka in Donetsk Oblast. At the same time, it carried out artillery shelling on over 15 populated areas, including Berdychiv, Avdiivka, Vesele, Vodyane, and Zhelane Pershe in Donetsk Oblast.
  • In the Marinka direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to hold back the Russian troops’ advance in the Marinka area. The Russian army carried out an aviation strike in the Krasnohorivka area and conducted shelling on over 10 populated areas, including Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Horlivka, Maksymilianivka, and Katerinivka in Donetsk Oblast.
  • In the Shakhtarsk direction, the Russian army launched aviation strikes in the areas of Zolota Nyva, Makarivka, and Rivnopole, and conducted shelling on populated areas such as Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Novoukrainka, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, and Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk Oblast.
  • In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the Russian army concentrates its main efforts on preventing further advancement of Ukrainian troops. It conducted artillery shelling on more than 20 populated areas, including Temirivka, Novodarivka, Chervone, Huliaypole, Zaliznychne, and Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast; Beryslav, Vesele, Antonivka, Bilozirka in Kherson Oblast, and the city of Kherson. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operations in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions and carry out counter-battery measures.

In the temporarily occupied city of Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, there have been reports of active transportation of bodies of Russian military personnel to the local morgue through trucks following a direct hit on the Duna hotel overnight.

The Russian army has intensified counterintelligence measures in the temporarily occupied city of Mariupol, Donetsk Oblast. Russian troops are conducting mass raids on houses and apartments of local residents, checking personal documents and mobile devices. By doing so, they aim to intimidate the local population and identify those who are supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The Ukrainian troops’ strikes on Russian equipment

During the day, the aviation of the Ukrainian army carried out 6 strikes on Russian personnel, weapons, and military equipment concentration areas, as well as 2 strikes on Russian missile complexes.

The missile forces and artillery units, during the day, targeted 1 command post, 16 artillery positions, 4 air defense missile complexes, and 2 electronic warfare stations of the Russian army.
