The 346th day of the Russia-Ukraine War: official operational information by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on 04.02.2023.
The Russian army is regrouping on certain directions, focusing its main efforts on offensive operations on Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Novopavlivka directions.
During the day of February 4, Russian military launched 9x MLRS attacks.

- Volyn, Polissya, Sivershchyna, and Slobozhanshchyna directions: no changes, the Russian army continues to maintain military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine, but no offensive groups of Russian troops were found. At the same time, the vicinities of settlements of Senkivka (Chernihiv oblast), Hlyboke, Zelene, Neskuchne, Starytsya, Vovchansk, Chuhunivka, and Velykyi Burluk (Kharkiv oblast) came under fire.
- Kupyansk direction: the Russian army shelled the vicinities of settlements of Dvorichna, Hryanikivka, Kupyansk, Pishchane, Kyslivka, Krokhmalne (Kharkiv oblast), Novoselivske, and Stelmakhivka (Luhansk oblast).
- Lyman direction: Terny (Donetsk oblast), Makiivka, Ploshchanka, and Dibrova (Luhansk oblast) came under fire.
- Bakhmut direction: Spirne, Berestove, Vesele, Bilohorivka, Rozdolivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Bila Hora, Druzhba, Maiorsk, and New York came under fire.
- Avdiivka direction: Russian military shelled Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Heorhiivka, Marinka, Pobjeda, and Novomykhailivka.
- Novopavlivka direction: Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Neskuchne, Vremivka, and Velyka Novosilka (Donetsk oblast) came under tank, mortar, and artillery fire.
- Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions: the vicinities of settlements of Hulyaipole, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Orikhiv, Shcherbaky (Zaporizhzhia oblast), Antonivka, and Kherson came under mortar, artillery and missile systems’ fire.
To replenish its casualties, the Russian army is trying to involve convicted women in the fighting. During the week, Russian forces recruited about 50x people from the women’s correctional colony in Snizhne (temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk oblast). They are also reported to be sent to the territory of the Russian Federation for training.
During the day of February 4, Ukrainian Air Force launched 3x air strikes on the concentrations of Russian manpower and military equipment. In the meantime, missile and artillery units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit 1x command posts, 2x concentrations of Russian manpower, 1x anti-aircraft missile system, and 1x fuel and lubricant depot.
