1,369 bodies of Ukrainian civilians killed by Russian military were found in the Kyiv region

The head of the Chief Department of the National Police in the Kyiv region Andrii Niebytov informed on February 3, 2023, that 1,369 Ukrainian civilians were killed by Russian troops during the occupation of the Kyiv region. A lot of bodies still could not be identified.

“In the Kyiv region, 1,369 bodies of civilians killed by Russian soldiers have already been found, 197 bodies of citizens remain unidentified, and 300 people are currently considered missing,” informed the head of the Chief Department of the National Police in the Kyiv region.

According to Andrii Niebytov, law enforcement officers of the Kyiv region have opened more than 10,000 criminal proceedings based on the fact of crimes committed by the Russian military on the territory of the region.

“Most of the proceedings have been handed over to investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine. However, the National Police continue to assist with the initial recording, review and appointment of appropriate examinations,” added Andrii Niebytov.
