Russian troops’ attacks on the civilian infrastructure in Ukraine
The Russian Federation continues to kill the civilian population of Ukraine, disregarding the laws and customs of war, using tactics of terror, and targeting both military and civilian objects.
Within a 24-hour period, as of 6 p.m., the Russian army carried out 1 missile strike and 48 airstrikes, along with 8 rocket attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas, using multiple rocket launchers.
The probability of missile and aerial strikes across the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.
During the day, there were 30 military clashes.

- In the Volyn and Polissya directions, the operational situation remains relatively unchanged.
- In the Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, the Russian army conducted airstrikes in the areas of Odnorobivka, Strilecha, and Hatyshche in the Kharkiv region. It also carried out mortar and artillery attacks on more than 30 populated areas, including Hremiach in the Chernihiv Oblast; Volfyne, Pavlivka, Sosnivka in Sumy Oblast; and Verkhnia Pysarivka, Hatyshche, and Varvarivka in Kharkiv Oblast.
- In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian soldiers are holding the defense firmly and successfully repelled Russian attacks in the areas of Vilshana and Synkivka, Kharkiv Oblast. The Russian army conducted aerial strikes in the areas of Kyslivka and Krokhmalne, Kharkiv Oblast. More than 10 populated areas, including Figolivka, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kupiansk, Petropavlivka, and Podoly, in Kharkiv Oblast, were hit by Russian artillery and mortar shelling.
- In the Lyman direction, Russian attempts at offensive actions in the area of Bilohorivka, Luhansk Oblast, were unsuccessful. Russian troops carried out aerial strikes near Nevske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast, as well as Torske, Serebrianka, Dibrova, and Spirne in Donetsk Oblast. More than 10 populated areas, including Kuzmyne, Bilohorivka (Luhansk Oblast), and Torske, Verkhniokamianka, Spirne, and Rozdolivka in Donetsk Oblast, were subjected to Russian artillery shelling.
- In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding back the Russian army in the Kurdiumivka area, Donetsk Oblast. The Russian army conducted aerial strikes in the areas of Khromove, Klishchiivka, Stupochky, Diliivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, and New York. Over 15 populated areas, including Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Minkivka, Novomarkove, Marinka, Bohdanivka, and Ivanivske, Donetsk Oblast, were hit by Russian artillery shelling.
- In the Avdiivka direction, under intense fire from Russian aviation and artillery, Ukrainian military successfully repelled Russian troops’ attacks in the Avdiivka area. The Russian army conducted aerial strikes in the area of Novokalynove, Donetsk Oblast. More than 10 populated areas, including Kheramik, Avdiivka, Lastochkyne, Severne, and Karlivka, Donetsk Oblast, were subjected to artillery shelling.
- In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian soldiers continue to restrain the Russian troops’ advance in the areas of Marinka. The Russian army shelled over 10 populated areas, including Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Pobeda, Herhiivka, Yelyzavetivka, and Kurakhove, Donetsk Oblast.
- In the Shakhtarsk direction, the Russian army made unsuccessful attempts to regain lost positions in the Staromykhailivka area. It conducted aerial strikes in the areas of Pavlivka, Zolota Nyva, and Staromykhailivka. Populated areas such as Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne, and Staromykhailivka, Donetsk Oblast, were hit by Russian artillery shelling.
- In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Russian army, while carrying out aerial strikes, made unsuccessful attempts to regain lost positions in the Robotyne area, Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Russian main efforts are focused on preventing further advancement of Ukrainian troops. Over 15 populated areas, including Rivnopil, Novodarivka, Temyrivka, Olhivske, Charivne, and Novoandriivka, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, were subjected to artillery shelling.
- In the Kherson direction, more than 20 populated areas, including Zolota Balka, Dudchany, Zmiivka, Veletenske (Kherson Oblast), and Ochakiv (Mykolaiv Oblast), experienced Russian artillery shelling.
The Ukrainian troops’ strikes on Russian equipment
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue their offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, consolidating their positions and conducting counter-battery measures.
During the day, Ukrainian aviation forces carried out six strikes on Russian personnel, equipment, and military machinery concentration areas.
Rocket forces and artillery units targeted two command posts, five personnel, equipment, and military machinery concentration areas, four artillery systems on firing positions, five ammunition depots, and one radio-electronic warfare station of the Russian army during the day.
