Russian troops’ attacks on the civilian infrastructure in Ukraine
During the day, the Russian Federation conducted another aerial attack on Ukraine using Iranian-made combat drones, Shahed-136/131. All 15 Russian Shahed drones were destroyed by the combined efforts of the Ukrainian Air Force, along with other components of the Armed Forces, including air defense systems. Additionally, the Russian army carried out 1 missile strike, 47 airstrikes, and 23 rocket artillery attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian areas. Unfortunately, there are civilian casualties.
The likelihood of further missile and aerial attacks on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high. Approximately 30 military engagements took place during the day.
List of the Russian Federation’s attacks on the Ukrainian territory
- The operational situation in the Volyn and Polissya directions did not change significantly.
- In the Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, the Russian army conducted airstrikes in the areas of Veterynarne, Kharkiv, and Vesele in the Kharkiv Oblast. It also carried out mortar and artillery shelling on more than 30 settlements, including Karpovychi and Tymonovychi in the Chernihiv Oblast, Bachivsk, Vyshenky, Volfyne, Kindrativka, Pokrovka in the Sumy Oblast, and Udy, Ternova, Pletenivka, Okhrimivka, Vilkhuvatka in the Kharkiv Oblast.
- In the Kupiansk direction, the Russian army launched aerial attacks in the areas of Petropavlivka and Kyslivka. Ukrainian towns of Odradne, Zapadne, Petropavlivka, and Podoly in the Kharkiv Oblast were subjected to Russian artillery and mortar shelling.
- In the Lyman direction, Russian troops conducted artillery shelling on the following settlements: Nevske, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk Oblast, and Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Torske in the Donetsk Oblast.
- In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding back Russian advances in the direction south and southeast of Ivanivske. The Russian army carried out aerial strikes on Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, and Druzhba. Over 15 settlements, including Rozdolivka, Markove, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Bila Hora, and New York in the Donetsk Oblast, were affected by Russian artillery shelling.
- In the Avdiivka direction, Russian soldiers launched an aerial strike in the vicinity of Avdiivka. They carried out unsuccessful offensive actions north and southeast of Avdiivka and southeast of Pervomaiske in the Donetsk Oblast. Stepove, Lastochkyne, Avdiivka and Pervomaiske came under artillery fire.
- In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian soldiers continue to contain the Russian troops’ advance in the area of Marinka. The Russian army conducted aerial strikes near Krasnohorivka and Marinka. Settlements such as Krasnohorivka, Hostre, Heorhiivka, Marinka, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk Oblast were subjected to shelling.
- In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian troops carried out aerial strikes in the areas of Makarivka and the village of Rivnopil. They made unsuccessful attempts to regain lost positions west of Staromykhailivka and east of Urozhaine. Vremivka, Rivnopil, and Novosilky in the Donetsk Oblast experienced Russian artillery shelling.
- In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Russian army conducted aerial strikes in the areas of Uspenivka and Mala Tokmachka in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. It concentrates its main efforts on preventing further advancement of Ukrainian military. Over 15 settlements, including Novodarivka, Chervone, Charivne, Shcherbaky, Pavlivka, and Kamianske in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, as well as Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, were affected by Russian artillery shelling.
- In the Kherson direction, the Russian army launched an aerial strike in the area of Odradokamianka. Over 20 settlements, including Osokorivka, Kachkarivka, Novoberyslav, Kozatske, Kherson, and Pervomaiske in the Kherson Oblast, as well as Dmytrivka and Ochakiv in the Mykolaiv Oblast, were affected by Russian artillery shelling.
The Ukrainian troops’ strikes on Russian equipment
At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue their offensive operations in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, consolidating their positions at achieved frontlines, and conducting counter-battery actions.
Over the course of the day, the Armed Forces’ aviation carried out 8 strikes on areas with concentrated Russian personnel, weapons, and military equipment, and 2 strikes on the anti-aircraft missile systems of Russian troops.
The missile troops and artillery units struck 10 artillery systems in their firing positions, 1 radar station, 1 command post, 1 area with Russian weapons and military equipment, 2 anti-aircraft defense systems, and 3 Russian ammunition depots during the day.
