Russian offensive actions and impact on civilians
During the day, Russian troops carried out 6 missile and 36 aviation strikes, conducted 32 shelling incidents from rocket artillery systems on the positions of Ukrainian military and populated areas. Due to the Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population, including children. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have suffered damage.
The likelihood of missile and aviation strikes across the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.
Over the course of the day, 33 combat clashes occurred.

- In the Volyn and Polissya directions, the operational situation remains relatively unchanged.
- In the Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, the Russian army carried out an aviation strike in the area of Huryiv Kozachok in the Kharkiv region. It conducted mortar and artillery shelling on more than 15 populated areas, including Klyusy in the Chernihiv region; Seredyna-Buda, Yastrubyne, Vodolagy, Myropilske in the Sumy region; and Udy, Strilecha, Okhrimivka in the Kharkiv region.
- In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian army conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas northeast of Synkivka, north of Kyslivka, and southeast of Andriivka in the Kharkiv region. It carried out aviation strikes in the Kyslivka and Pershotravneve areas of the Kharkiv region. Russian artillery and mortar shelling affected towns such as Kupyansk, Masiutivka, Kyslivka, and Berestove in the Kharkiv region.
- In the Lyman direction, Russian troops conducted aviation strikes in the areas of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Serebrianka, Siversk, Spirne, and Vesele in the Donetsk region. Russian artillery shelling affected over 10 populated areas, including Nevske, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Torske, Verkhniokamianske, and Spirne in the Donetsk region.
- In the Bakhmut direction, the Russian army carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Klishchiivka and Bila Hora in the Donetsk region. It conducted an aviation strike in the Blahodatne area. Over 10 populated areas, including Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Bila Hora and Pivnichne in the Donetsk region, were affected by Russian artillery shelling.
- In the Avdiivka direction, under intense fire from Russian aviation and artillery, Ukrainian troops continue to hold back Russian soldiers’ advance in the Avdiivka area. Russian troops conducted an aviation strike in the Avdiivka area. Over 10 populated areas, including Novokalynove, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, and Karlivka in the Donetsk region, were affected by Russian artillery shelling.
- In the Mariinka direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to resist the Russian troops’ advance in the Mariinka area of the Donetsk region. The Russian army conducted an aviation strike in the Krasnohorivka area. Over 10 populated areas, including Oleksandrivka, Krasnohorivka, Mariinka, Novomykhailivka, and Yelyzavetivka in the Donetsk region, were affected by Russian artillery shelling.
- In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian soliders made unsuccessful attempts to regain lost ground in the Urozhaine area of the Donetsk region. Over 10 populated areas, including Vodyane, Vuhledar, Bohoyavlensk, Prechystivka, Velyka Novosilka, and Rivnopil in the Donetsk region, were affected by Russian artillery shelling.
- In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Russian army shelled over 20 populated areas with artillery, including Novodarivka, Temirivka, Poltavka, Chervone, Verkhnia Tersa, and Novoandrivka in the Zaporizhzhia region, and Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
- In the Kherson direction, over 20 populated areas, including Zolota Balka, Zmiivka, Beryslav, Kozatske, Tiahinka, and Poniativka in the Kherson region, and Kutsurub and Ochakiv in the Mykolaiv region, were affected by Russian artillery shelling.
Ukrainian countermeasures
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue their offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions, achieving partial success in the area of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region. Russian troops are consolidating their positions on the achieved frontlines and carrying out counter-battery measures.
During the day, the aviation of the Ukrainian army conducted 10 strikes on Russian personnel, weapons, and military equipment concentration areas.
Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit 1 anti-aircraft missile system and 1 artillery piece in firing positions of the Russian army over the course of the day.
