UK Prime Minister visited Ukraine and met with Ukrainian President

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak arrived in Ukraine on November 19, 2022, and met with the Ukrainian President. This is the first visit of the new head of the British government to Kyiv.

The head of the Ukrainian state has already managed to meet with the head of the British government and posted a video of the meeting.

“Since the first days of the war, Ukraine and the UK have been the strongest of allies. During today’s meeting, we discussed the most important issues both for our countries and for global security. Together we are stronger and we will achieve the desired results,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a statement.

 

The UK Prime Minister also said about his visit to Ukraine on Twitter.

“Britain knows what it means to fight for freedom. We are with you all the way,” wrote Rishi Sunak.

After his appointment, Rishi Sunak promised to visit Kyiv in the first conversation with Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Earlier, the Prime Ministers of Great Britain and Canada, Rishi Sunak and Justin Trudeau, held a conversation with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on November 16, 2022, they discussed the issue of defense support for Ukraine during the winter.
