The Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko noted that Russian soldiers launched a rocket attack on the city of Druzhkivka in the Donetsk region (east of Ukraine) on January 2, 2023.

“Druzhkivka, Donetsk region. Two missile strikes. One rocket hit the city itself, it is known about 2 wounded. Another missile hit the village of Yakovlivka,” explained the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

The general director of the hockey club “Donbas” Fedor Illenko confirmed that a rocket attack by Russian troops in Druzhkivka, Donetsk region, hit the “Altair” ice arena building.

“The Ice Arena. It’s not just a building. It’s the second home for our club [hockey club – ed.] after 2014. It’s hundreds of children’s competitions, dozens of international tournaments, children’s smiles… it’s the largest hockey and figure skating school in Ukraine. These are people who created joy for everyone 8 years since the beginning of the war,” said the general director of the hockey club “Donbas” Fedor Illenko about the Russian rocket attack on “Altair”.
