Anatolii Kurtiev, Secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council said that about 70 buildings and 4 educational institutions were damaged in Zaporizhzhia as a result of Russian rocket attacks on October 9, 2022. According to preliminary data, at least 17 people were dead and 40 injured.

12 missile “arrivals” were recorded in the city.
“According to preliminary information, it is known that about 20 private sector buildings and about 50 high-rise buildings were damaged, as well as 4 educational institutions.”
Anatolii Kurtiev added that utility workers started to work, but there were not enough people to do this work. Therefore, citizens of Zaporizhzhia can join the demolition of rubble.
“24 units of special equipment and 110 personnel work for emergency and rescue operations, extinguishing fires and rescuing people.”
According to the press center of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, as a result of the Russian attack, the entrance of a multi-story residential building from the 1st to the 8th floor and private households in the regional center were destroyed.
The head of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration reported that 12 people were dead and 49 hospitalized, including 6 children.
