Yatseniuk will visit Brussels to participate in meeting of Ukraine-EU Association Council

The Ukrainian delegation headed by Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk will make a working visit to Brussels December 15-16 to attend the inaugural meeting of the Ukraine-EU Association Council.
The government portal reported.
“This is the first meeting of this body, which was established under the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU. The European Union delegation will be led by Vice-President of the European Commission, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini. The event will discuss, in particular, joint countering of the Russian aggression in Eastern Ukraine and the illegal annexation of Crimea, support of the European Union to the reform program of the Ukrainian government and implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU, Ukraine’s progress in implementing the conditions for visa-free regime with the EU, as well as energy security,” a statement reads.
The Ukrainian delegation will include Economic Development and Trade Minister of Ukraine Aivaras Abromavichus, Interior Minister of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin, Ukraine Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko, Finance Minister of Ukraine Natalia Yaresko, Naftogaz of Ukraine CEO Andriy Kobolev, Director of government office for European integration of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Natalia Hnydiuk.
A program of the visit to Brussels also envisages a meeting of Arseniy Yatseniuk with President of the European Council Donald Tusk and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine will speak at the European Policy Centre conference, devoted to the priorities of the new Cabinet of Ministers.
It is expected that in the framework of the Ukrainian delegation visit to Brussels, signing the loan agreement will be held (Ukraine: modernization of main gas pipeline Urengoy – Pomary – Uzhgorod) between Ukraine and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The document provides for raising funds in the amount of up to USD 200 million for reconstruction and modernization of the national gas transportation system.
