The parliament must approve the bill as soon as possible to exclude 1,251 enterprises from the list of objects that cannot be privatized.
Prime Minister Yatseniuk said, opening a government meeting on Wednesday, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“I appeal to the parliament to immediately adopt a law on a list of objects that are not subject to privatization. The government goes to the most ambitious privatization. We removed from the list of objects those that cannot be privatized, 1,251 objects,” Yatseniuk said.
The government also proposes to begin privatization of strategic enterprises from test stakes of up to 5%, which will be placed on Western stock exchanges. “Then we’ll see the real cost of objects. We will determine at the WSE how much they cost, rather than at Ukrainian ones, which draw a price by themselves and then purchase from themselves,” the Prime Minister said.
