Yatseniuk orders energy ministry to tackle power outages more quickly

Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry should accelerate the resolution of problems with energy supply and the provision of Ukrainian power plants with coal.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk made this request at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“Mr. Minister, I’m asking you to accelerate the resolution of problems with energy supply and the provision of Ukrainian power plants with coal,” the head of government said.
According to him, above-zero temperatures now save the situation. “As soon as temperatures drop below zero, the situation in the power system will become at once more difficult than it is today,” the prime minister warned.
