Yanukovych to testify via video conference Nov 25

Disgraced Ukrainian ex-president Viktor Yanukovych is expected to testify via a video conference in a criminal case of the five former Berkut riot police officers on November 25, that`s according to Yanukovych`s lawyer Vitaliy Serdiuk.

Sviatoshynskiy district court in the city of Kyiv earlier obtained an approval from the Russian side to set up a video interrogation online. Now it is up to the court to prepare the equipment required for a video conference.

Viktor Yanukovych is to testify as witness, the lawyer added.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Svyatoshinskiy district courts started technical preparations to a distanced questioning of Viktor Yanukovych in a case of five Berkut riot police officers Pavlo Abroskin, Sergiy Zinchrenko, Oleksandr Marychenko, Serhiy Tamtura, and Oleh Yanishevsky, who had been accused of mass killings during the Euromaidan Revolution in Kyiv.
