US National Security Adviser visited Ukraine’s capital to announce new military aid

The US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan visited the capital of Ukraine on November 4, 2022. He held a meeting with the military, the head of state Volodymyr Zelenskyy and top Ukraine’s officials, and was informed about the situation at the front, the implementation of the grain agreement and Russia’s strikes on critical infrastructure of Ukraine.

Jake Sullivan has announced an additional $400 million package of security assistance to Ukraine during his visit. It includes T-72 tanks and drones, as well as refurbished surface-to-air missiles.

“The United States is going to be with Ukraine for as long as it takes in this fight. There will be no wavering, no flagging, no flinching in our support as we go forward,” said the US National Security Adviser.

Jake Sullivan also added that the United States had been informed of the needs of Ukraine during the operation of the liberation of Ukraine’s key southern city of Kherson and would provide the necessary assistance.

In addition, the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak said that the continuation of the sanctions policy against Russia was also discussed at the meeting with Jake Sullivan.
