US humanitarian organization will provide Ukraine with $10M for the development of rehabilitation

The Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko informed on April 11, 2023, that American nonprofit humanitarian organization Direct Relief will provide Ukraine with an additional 10 million dollars for the development of rehabilitation assistance.

“The humanitarian organization Direct Relief will continue to provide support to Ukraine as long as it is needed. In addition, it is planned to allocate an additional 10 million dollars for the development of rehabilitation assistance,” noted the Ministry of Health of Ukraine quoting the CEO of Direct Relief Thomas Tighe.

The Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko thanked Direct Relief for helping Ukraine.

“The Direct Relief organization was one of the first to respond to the needs of Ukraine and provided numerous humanitarian shipments of medicines, medical products, trauma kits and equipment,” added Viktor Liashko.

In addition, representatives of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and Direct Relief discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in accordance with emerging needs and priorities. In particular, it was about approaches to the accounting, logistics and administration of humanitarian aid that allow to organize the process in such a way that it reaches where it is most needed.
