US Embassy in Kyiv resumed full-fledged work

The United States Embassy in Ukraine has officially resumed full-fledged work in the capital of Ukraine.

The US Department of State noted that additional measures were taken to improve the safety of American diplomats who are returning to Kyiv. The US flag was raised at the embassy on May 18.

American diplomats returned to Ukraine from Poland for the first time since the Russian invasion on May 2 but worked in Lviv. The US Embassy announced the return to Kyiv of Chargé d’Affaires Christina Quinn and other US diplomats on May 8.

In addition, the US Senate has approved Bridget Brink as US Ambassador to Ukraine.
