“US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) is ready to support Ukrainian business,” the Prime Minister emphasized.

According to Denys Shmyhal, DFC director Scott Nathan said at the meeting that the corporation would attract $250 million this year to help finance small and medium-sized business support programs.

In total, DFC plans to mobilize up to $1 billion to support the Ukrainian economy.

“Instruments for attracting investments were discussed. Separately, we raised the issue of launching the stock market in Ukraine. We also jointly opened an event at the American Chamber of Commerce, where we focused in more detail on areas of business and economic support,” noted Denys Shmyhal.

The head of government added that he appreciates DFC’s willingness to provide financing to Ukrainian companies, and emphasized that becoming part of Ukraine’s recovery today is the most powerful investment in the future.
