“We all know these claims are pure fabrications brought forth without a shred of evidence. Still, I must take this opportunity to set the record straight. Ukraine does not have a biological weapons program, as well as the United States does not have a biological weapons program,” emphasized Linda Thomas-Greenfield.
The US ambassador to the UN noted that Ukraine was not engaged in development in the field of biological weapons, and the United States does not provide it with assistance in this. Moreover, the Russian Federation’s claims that Ukrainian scientists allegedly use birds, bats and insects to spread infections in Russia are absurd fabrications.
“Today, Russia called a Security Council meeting, once again, for the sole purpose of spreading disinformation about Ukraine. They are trying to distract us from the atrocities Russian forces are carrying out in Ukraine. It’s not working. It’s never going to work,” Linda Thomas-Greenfield wrote on Twitter.
Uaposition memo: Earlier, the Russian Federation sent the UN Security Council a draft resolution on the creation of a commission to investigate “the activities of US bio laboratories in Ukraine”, as well as a complaint regarding such activities.
