UN chief wants safe passage for refugees from Donbas

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon is deeply disturbed by reports of an attack on a group of internally displaced persons who were trying to leave Luhansk. In this regard, he called on all sides to provide safe passage for those who leave the danger zone.
UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said this on Monday, the UN News Center reported.
“He urges all sides to respect the rules governing the status of IDPs and refugees and to allow safe passage to anyone attempting to leave areas of active military operations,” Dujarric said.
As reported, on Monday afternoon, terrorists shelled with Grad multiple rocket launchers a column of refugees accompanied by the Pivnich (North) operational command. According to preliminary reports, dozens of people were killed.
