Ukrainian troops eliminated 277 Russian soldiers in the Donetsk region

Spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Cherevatyy reported on January 30, 2023, that Russian soldiers fired almost 200 artillery shells at Ukrainian positions in the area of Bakhmut, Donetsk region (east of Ukraine) over the past 24 hours, but in the course of the fighting, they lost more than 500 people killed and wounded there.

“Bakhmut continues to be one of the main directions of Russian attack – Russian troops hit Ukrainian positions 197 times with rocket artillery, there were 42 combat clashes. The Russian army lost a lot of personnel during this day: 277 Russian soldiers were killed, and 258 were wounded of various degrees. The fighting took place in the area of Spirne, Krasna Hora, Paraskoviivka, Bakhmut, and Klishchiivka,” said the Spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Serhiy Cherevatyy also said that Russian troops were unable to cut the route used to support the group of Ukrainian soldiers in Bakhmut.
