Ukrainian troops destroyed 3 Russian drones, ammunition depot and 88 servicemen in the Bakhmut area

The Spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Cherevatyy reported on April 5, 2023, that the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 88 Russian soldiers in the Bakhmut direction (Donetsk region, east of Ukraine), and 124 servicemen were injured. Three Russian unmanned aerial vehicles, one electronic warfare station and a warehouse with ammunition were also destroyed.

“Over the last day, 245 attacks from various artillery systems took place in the Bakhmut sector, 21 combat clashes took place, 88 Russian servicemen were killed and 124 were injured. In addition, 3 Russian UAVs, 1 electronic warfare station and an ammunition depot were destroyed,” explained the Spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to Serhiy Cherevatyy, heavy fighting is now taking place near Bakhmut, the Russian army continues to attack.

The Spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also said that Russian troops are “very far” from capturing Bakhmut.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on April 5, 2023, that the Russian soldiers do not control Bakhmut in the Donetsk region but the situation there is the most difficult at the front.
