The Ministry of Defence of Great Britain noted on January 29, 2023, on Twitter, that Ukrainian tankers arrived in Great Britain for training on Challenger 2.

“Ukrainian tank crews have arrived in the UK to begin training for their continued fight against Russia. The UK will provide Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine alongside global partner nations – demonstrating the strength of support for Ukraine, internationally,” tweeted the Ministry of Defence of Great Britain.

On January 15, 2023, London officially announced that a company of 14 Challenger 2 tanks and 30 AS90 self-propelled artillery units would be sent to Ukraine.
Great Britain plans to hand over Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine by the end of March 2023.
Earlier, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Britain Vadym Prystaiko said that the training of the Ukrainian military on Challenger 2 tanks would not take a lot of time. According to British instructors, Ukrainian crews are motivated and learn very quickly.
