Ukrainian defenders liberated three more settlements in the Kherson region from Russian troops on October 5, – Novovoskresenske, Novohryhorivka, and Petropavlivka. This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his evening address.

“Such settlements as Novovoskresenske, Novohryhorivka and Petropavlivka were liberated and stabilized from the pseudo-referendums just this day in the Kherson region. The movement continues,” the head of state said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy marked the fighters of the operational-strategic group of troops “Olexandria” for the creation of conditions for a successful offensive in the Kherson region, his planning and preparation of active combat operations.
He added that these actions were giving our state a noticeable result, and would help to achieve even more in the future.
The President also thanked the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for their accuracy, which destroyed six Iranian-made drones that the Russian army was trying to use against Ukrainian cities on October 5.
