Ukrainian military liberated more than 2,400 km2 in the south

The Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko noted on October 7, 2022, that the Ukrainian army had liberated more than 2,400 square kilometers of territories in the south of Ukraine since February 24.

“The Armed Forces of Ukraine have liberated more than 2,400 square kilometers of Ukrainian land in the south since the beginning of the war. Six settlements were liberated in the Kherson region, and 61 in the Beryslav district.”

Vysokopillia, Vorontsivka, Zolota Balka, Gavrylivka, Novooleksandrivka, Davydiv Brid, Arkhangelske, Osokorivka and others are among the liberated settlements.

Stabilization measures to return to normal life are ongoing in the liberated settlements, demining work is being carried out, and law enforcement officers are recording evidence of war crimes committed by Russian troops.

“107 war crimes [committed by Russian troops – ed.] have already been documented in Kherson region since the beginning of liberation.”
