The Spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Cherevatyy informed that 202 Russian shellings took place during the day in the Lyman-Kupyansk direction (east of Ukraine), the Ukrainian Armed Forces killed 50 Russian servicemen on April 9, 2023.

“In general, the Lyman-Kupyansk direction is the second most active after Bakhmut in the area of our responsibility. In particular, during this day there were 202 shellings from Russian rocket-propelled artillery, 7 combat clashes took place, 50 Russian soldiers in this direction were destroyed and 86 were injured of various degrees,” explained the Spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to Serhiy Cherevatyy, an infantry fighting vehicle, a model that was previously decommissioned, 2 unmanned aerial vehicles, 3 mortars and two ammunition depots of the Russian army were also destroyed.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled more than 50 Russian attacks, and destroyed 14 UAVs and 5 EW stations on April 9, 2023.
