Ukrainian flag was raised on the border of Donetsk and Kharkiv regions in east

The Head of the Donetsk Region Military Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko reported on September 20, 2022, that  Ukrainian defenders raised a Ukrainian blue-yellow flag on the ceiling, located along the highway connecting Kharkiv and Donetsk regions south of the city of Izyum.

At the same time, Pavlo Kyrylenko emphasized that this territory is still very dangerous because of the objects left by Russian soldiers.

“Thanks to our Armed Forces, this section of the Kyiv-Kharkiv-Dovzhansky highway is free from Russian troops, but extremely dangerous, as it is full of iron. Fierce battles were fought here not long ago, and now only the abandoned equipment and minefields remind us of them.”

The head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration also said that he conducted an assessment of the scope of future works on demining the territory together with First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yevgen Yenin and the head of the State Emergency Service Serhii Kruk.
