Ukrainian army liberated 88 settlements in the Kherson region from Russian troops

The Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko noted that the Ukrainian Defense Forces liberated a total of 88 settlements in the Kherson region (south of Ukraine) and 551 settlements in the Kharkiv region (east of Ukraine) from Russian troops as of October 21, 2022.

“Kherson region. A total of 88 settlements have been liberated. 11,827 civilians live here,” said the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

According to Kyrylo Tymoshenko, humanitarian aid is currently being provided to the residents of the liberated settlements of the Beryslav district. The restoration of life support systems is ongoing, namely: the removal of damaged electrical wires, an inspection of transformer substations, and the installation of electrical poles.

The Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine also informed that 120 kilometers of roads have been cleared, mobile communication has been restored, and work on demining the liberated territories continues.

“A total of 156 war crimes have been documented since the beginning of the liberation of the Kherson region,” concluded Kyrylo Tymoshenko.
