Ukrainian Air Force shot down 30 Iranian kamikaze drones

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones at night on December 19, 2022, 30 of which were destroyed by the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

“In total, about thirty-five loitering munitions were discovered. As last time, the attack UAVs were launched from the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov. The forces and means of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed thirty Shahed kamikaze drones of Russian troops!” The Command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine explained.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, units of anti-aircraft missile forces, fighter aircraft, and mobile fire groups were involved in the destruction of air targets.

In addition, more than 20 Russian UAVs were recorded in the airspace of Ukraine’s capital Kyiv. Air defense forces destroyed about 15 of them.
