“It is clear that Russia has spent a huge strategic stockpile of missiles precisely by striking critical infrastructure of Ukraine. We have only since September 11 until now 650, and after March 9 already up to 700 missiles shot down by Ukrainian air defense, not counting kamikaze drones. More than 650 of them were also shot down,” explained the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to Yuriy Ihnat, a total of 820 cruise and ballistic missiles have been used by the Russian army against Ukrainian civil infrastructure since September 2022.
“The Russian army has been preparing high-precision and long-range missiles for years. At the same time, it is currently surprising that Kalibr [cruise missiles – ed.], which the Russian Federation was preparing to attack the most important objects – command posts, decision-making centers, are actually being used to attack transformer boxes on the territory of Ukraine,” added the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
