Ukraine’s President spoke with new British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and invited him to Ukraine

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with Rishi Sunak, who became the new Prime Minister of Great Britain on October 25, 2022.

“I believe that the partnership between our states and the already traditional British leadership in the defense of democracy and freedom will only strengthen in the future. I invited the Prime Minister to visit Ukraine,” noted Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Rishi Sunak also said about his conversation with the Ukrainian colleague. He emphasized that Britain would stand with Ukraine.

“A privilege to speak to the President of Ukraine this evening. Both he and the Ukrainian people can count on the UK’s continued solidarity and support. We will always stand with Ukraine,” wrote Rishi Sunak on Twitter.

Earlier, Ukraine’s President welcomed the appointment of Rishi Sunak as the head of the British government and expressed his readiness to continue strengthening the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Britain.

King Charles III of Britain asked former finance minister Rishi Sunak to form a government on October 25, 2022.
