Ukraine is currently negotiating with several countries for the supply of missile and air defense systems.

“We consider air defense and missile defense a top priority. Talks have begun and there are positive outcomes regarding (US-Norwegian System) NASAMS and (German system) IRIS-T. However, we have yet to receive any systems from Germany, as well as, from the USA. But, this partially closes the issue of the shortage of air defense systems.”

However, Ukraine’s negotiations are not limited to these two partners. Ukraine will also work with France, Italy, and Israel.

The President does not count on further expansion of the range of possible suppliers of such systems.

“There are not so many states that are able to guarantee the closure of the sky from the point of view of air defense. That is why it is necessary to solve this issue around these five states.”

Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that the delay in the delivery of air defense systems has resulted in the loss of Ukrainian lives.
