Serhiy Bolvinov, the head of the investigative department of the police of the Kharkiv region said on November 18, 2022, that law enforcement officers in the Kharkiv region (east of Ukraine) have already registered more than half a thousand criminal proceedings under the article “collaborative activity” and discovered 25 torture chambers where Russian soldiers tortured Ukrainians.

“Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, police investigators and investigators in the Kharkiv region have registered 542 criminal proceedings for collaborative activity, 126 collaborators have been notified of suspicion, and 59 cases have been referred to court. Also, investigators have already discovered 25 torture chambers organized by the Russians during the occupation of the Kharkiv region,” says Serhiy Bolvinov.
Serhiy Bolvinov noted that detailed inspections of the places of detention and torture of people were carried out – fingerprints, DNA, documents, draft records and objects testifying to the crimes of Russian troops were seized.
“Witnesses and victims of Russian crimes are being identified,” added the head of the investigative Department.
