Ukraine should not turn into outpost of opposition – Chinese Minister

China continues to call on all parties to the conflict in Ukraine for a political solution and believes that the country should not be an outpost of the confrontation.

This was stated by Foreign Minister Wang Yi during a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Pavlo Klimkin in the sidelines of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), held on October 16-17 inMilan.

“Ukraine should become a bridge that pulls together all the parties, and not an outpost, sowing confrontation,” Xinhua News Agency quoted Chinese Minister.

Wang stressed that China adheres to the Ukrainian problem “objectively and impartially” and is strongly in favor of a political solution to the problem.
