One Ukrainian soldier was killed and four were wounded in fighting in eastern Ukraine in the past 24 hours, according to Oleksandr Motuzianyk, presidential spokesman for ATO issues.
”Unfortunately, there was one killed in action (KIA) and four wounded in action (WIA),” he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Friday, a UNIAN correspondent reported.
According to Motuzianyk, the maximum number of attacks – 21 – was recorded in the Mariupol sector yesterday. In the Donetsk sector, the enemy attacked 15 times, six times using heavy weapons. In the Luhansk sector, the Ukrainian army recorded six militant attacks.
”We do not feel a significant exacerbation in the last few days, the number of attacks remains at the same level,” Motuzianyk noted.
According to him, there is a constant rotation of militant units and supply of military equipment and ammunition by Russia to strengthen its forces.
