Ukraine released 107 soldiers from Russian captivity

The Head of the President’s Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak noted on November 3, 2022, that 107 Ukrainian servicemen were returned from Russian captivity, including 6 officers, 101 privates and sergeants.

“Today, we conducted another exchange of war prisoners. We managed to release107 Ukrainian soldiers – 6 officers, 101 privates and sergeants,” explained the Head of the President’s Office of Ukraine.

Andriy Yermak added that 74 soldiers that defended “Azovstal” steelworks in Mariupol were among the released Ukrainian military.

“We brought home many injured in the battles. In particular, we managed to exchange seriously injured and bedridden from Mariupol, from “Azovstal”, boys with shrapnel wounds to arms and legs, or gunshot wounds to various parts of the body. There are soldiers with amputated limbs and burns that do not feel part of the face, or have infected wounds. There is also an injured soldier as a result of the explosion in Olenivka war prison. Many of our guys were injured back in March. Ukraine will do everything necessary to help each of them,” stated the Head of the President’s Office of Ukraine.
